Vespers II, Magnificat antiphon: SS. Peter and Paul

Hodie Simon Petrus ascendit crucis patibulum. Alleluia.
Hodie clavicularius regni gaudens migravit ad Christum.
Hodie Paulus apostolus, lumen orbis terrae, inclinato capite pro Christi nomine, martyrio coronatus es. Alleluia.

Today Simon Peter ascended the gibbet of the cross. Alleluia.
Today he, keeper of the keys of the kingdom, rejoicing departed from here to Christ.
Today the Apostle Paul, the light of the whole world, bowed his head, and for Christ’s Name’s sake was crowned a martyr. Alleluia.
